The mission of Our Lady of the Mount Women’s Ministry is to reflect on the Catholic Christian woman’s journey of faith, her relationship with Jesus Christ, her vocation and state in life, and opportunities to live the Gospel message more effectively. The primary goal of the unified team members is to assist each woman to find time for prayer and Scripture reading, thereby solidifying her sense of identity within the Catholic Church and clarifying her call to serve other women. Open to all adult women in the parish and surrounding parishes, the Women’s Ministry gathers on the third Tuesday of each month to witness the faith; assume the role of discipleship through leading, teaching, sharing, and service, in order to build community among the members. The Women’s Ministry Team conducts an annual Spring retreat for women. Also offered is an annual Advent Women’s Gathering that is open to all women of surrounding parishes. The Women’s Ministry forms small Faith Sharing Groups for six to eight women in each group.
